I also had a last generation Outback behind me at the gas station, but didnt want to be a creeper on the owner.

the first pic could be a Subaru ad.
all it needs is a tagline: "I bought the old one new. It got to meet the new one before it was even broken in"
"Dependability: It's what makes a Subaru; a Subaru"

Are you just driving around to find other Subbies to park next to? :)

That would make a fantastic ad. It'ts like a happier version of this old Forester ad.

It just so happened that these Subies were parked while I was out running errands.

There are so many outbacks in our town we use the ski rack to identify ours. Then someone else got the same ski rack on the same color and model year as ours. So we have resorted to bumper stickers for identification purposes.

The new one looks HUGE compared to the older one. I like them both, though. :-)

In keeping with the theme, I found these two the other day.

It's just American sized.

They look like nice little buddies.

Hah, that's kinda funny. I've been shocked by how many subarus I've been noticing in my area lately, as they are not really big sellers in my smallish North Carolina town.

The left one is an H-6, too.

Isn't it one of the anniversary editions?

It's a 2004 L.L. Bean Edition. The 35th Anniversary Edition was 2004 as well, but it had different wheels and a more subtle badge on the driver's side front fender.
